i should get caller ID to screen the calls

do you guys get a lot of calls from XYZ research company(s) to your home phone to do researches and studies? i get an average of 2 everyday. they sometimes even call after 10:30pm! i got a call at work this morning:
G: good morning, inspector's office - Gladys speaking. how may i help u?
X: hi! i am calling from X real estate company. do u want to know how much your house is worth?
G: not really. this is not a residential number.
X: is it alright to call you at another number at another time?
G: not really. i don't think so.
X: ok bye.
how crazy? this was not the first time too. i got one before at work and it was some vacation package promotion.
upcoming projects:
project #1: format hard drive (where is my windows vista?)
project #2: format ipod (i should have done that a year ago)
my parents are coming home in a day!! they have been away for so long =D!
